DFM offers four distinct event spaces: The Shed (1,500+ standing / 800 seated) — our signature open-air venue with dramatic architectural lighting and a full bar; Pearl Plaza (up to 500) — a covered outdoor plaza ideal for brand activations and mid-size gatherings; Event Lawns (50–800) — flexible green space for festivals, fitness events, and outdoor concerts; and Full Campus Buyouts for large-scale brand takeovers and multi-day conferences. Partial-space configurations are also available for smaller events on weekdays.
We recommend booking at least 60–90 days in advance for events of 200 or more guests, and 30+ days for smaller gatherings. Peak dates — summer weekends and November through December — book out months ahead. Submit your inquiry early; we confirm availability and schedule a walkthrough within 3 business days.
Standard venue rental includes exclusive use of the reserved space, ambient architectural lighting, access to our on-site power grid, basic tables and chairs, and on-site event staff. A/V production, staging, custom lighting rigs, bar service, and catering are available as add-ons. We'll walk through your specific needs during the planning call to build the right package.
Yes. DFM holds a TABC license and can provide full bar service for private events. You may also bring in a licensed bartending service, subject to our vendor approval process. All alcohol service must comply with TABC regulations. Please indicate alcohol service in the inquiry form so we can include the appropriate licensing requirements in your proposal.
Yes, with prior approval. We maintain a preferred vendor list of caterers and food trucks who have experience on the DFM campus, but we welcome outside vendors with current health permits and insurance. All food service must comply with Dallas County Health requirements and be approved by DFM management before the event. Hurtado Barbecue and other in-house tenants are available for catering coordination.
The Shed features an LED video board, architectural lighting infrastructure, and a distributed power grid for independent production use. We work with trusted production partners for stage builds, line-array audio systems, LED uplighting, and large-format video projection. High-speed WiFi is available throughout the venue; large-scale productions typically bring dedicated bandwidth via bonded cellular. Indicate your specific needs in the inquiry form and we'll connect you with the right partners.
Yes. DFM has on-site surface parking and access to structured garages on the campus. For large events (500+) we recommend a coordinated parking plan and can facilitate valet or attendant-managed parking. The campus is also accessible via DART light rail (Pearl/Arts District station, one block away) and rideshare pickup/drop-off on Harwood Street. We can include a guest transportation guide in your event planning kit.
