How it works.

Four steps.
"No application fee. No stall fee. Just you, an audience of thousands, and a tip jar. Perform well, come back often."

Step One · Free

Email us your work.

Send a short bio, your performance type, and a link to video or audio. No elaborate press kit needed — we just want to hear what you do.

Email Your Application →

Step Two · ~2 Weeks

We listen.

Our events team reviews applications and reaches out within two weeks. We fill slots seasonally — early applications get priority for the next available period.

See FAQs →

Step Three · Before Your First Date

Get your schedule.

Accepted performers receive a schedule for their upcoming dates. Check in with market staff on arrival — they'll point you to your assigned spot for the day.

See Upcoming Events →

Step Four · Showtime

Set up & perform.

Arrive 30 minutes before your slot. Set up your space, keep volume at a social level, and stay through the end of your scheduled window. Rain does not cancel market — come prepared.

Common questions.

Buskers at DFM perform on a tips-and-exposure basis — there is no performance fee paid by DFM. In return, there is no stall fee or application fee. You keep everything in your tip jar and any merch sales.
No. The $45 application fee applies to producer and vendor applications. Busker applications are separate and free — just email us with your performance type, a short bio, and a link to your work.
We're open to all genres — folk, blues, country, jazz, Americana, classical, and beyond. We also welcome non-musical performers: acoustic comedy, living statues, spoken word, and family-friendly acts. The market attracts all ages — family-appropriate content is required.
Yes. CDs, vinyl, tip jars, and small merch displays are permitted. You may not set up a full vendor stall — if you want to sell physical goods beyond performance merch, you'll need a standard vendor application.
Battery-powered amps and small portable PA systems are permitted outdoors. No generator-powered equipment. Volume should stay at conversational-area levels. When in doubt, acoustic is always welcome.
Email info@dallasfarmersmarket.org with your name, performance type, a short bio, and a link to video or audio of your work. We'll respond within two weeks. We schedule by season and fill slots as they open — applying early gets you in the queue.
